1. ✅ Unbox & Check Everything
   Make sure you have: mirror dash cam, mounting straps/clips, power cable (car charger), rear camera, rear cam cable, and any trim tool/adhesive pads.
   
   
2. ✅ Test Power Before Installing
   Plug it into your car’s 12V socket and turn the ignition on. Confirm it powers up, records, and the buttons work.
   
   
3. ✅ Mount The Mirror Camera
   Place it over your existing rear-view mirror and secure it with the straps/clips. Adjust it so you can still see normally through the mirror screen.
   
   
4. ✅ Position The Rear Camera
   Mount it at the top centre of the rear window (inside) for easiest install, or near the number plate area (outside) if your model supports it. Aim it so you can see the rear bumper edge slightly.
   
   
5. ✅ Run The Rear Camera Cable Cleanly
   Tuck the cable into the headliner and along the A-pillar, then down the side trim toward the rear. Use existing gaps—don’t pinch the wire in door seals.
   
   
6. ✅ Connect Power & Hide The Cable
   Run the power cable around the windscreen edge and down to the 12V socket. Tuck excess cable behind trim for a clean look.
   
   
7. ✅ Insert The MicroSD Card (Important)
   Use a quality microSD (many models prefer Class 10/U3). Insert it, then go into settings and Format Card before first use.
   
   
8. ✅ Set Date/Time & Key Settings
   Set correct time/date. Turn on:

• Loop Recording (so it overwrites old footage)
• G-Sensor (locks files during impacts)
• Rear Camera Display (if available)
  
  

1. ✅ Adjust Camera Angles & Screen View
   Check both front and rear views in daylight. Adjust so the horizon is level and the rear camera isn’t pointing too high.
   
   
2. ✅ Do A Quick Test Drive
   Drive 1–2 minutes, then review footage to confirm clarity, stable mount, and correct angles.
   

Handy Tips

• Clean glass first (alcohol wipe) before mounting rear cam for stronger hold.
  
• Avoid routing cables over airbags (A-pillar airbags are common). Tuck behind trim away from airbag deployment paths.
  
• Format the microSD monthly to reduce file errors.
  
• If the image looks washed out at night, lower exposure slightly in settings (if available).
  
• Keep the lens clear—fingerprints kill quality, especially at night.
